Account and profile

To have access to iKast, you need to have your Organization registered and then a personal account where you can edit your Profile information. All this information is accessible via the PROFILE MENU (https://app.ikast.io/profile).

Organization

At the creation of your company's account, different information has been registered. You can not change them via the User Interface. 

Your Organization is defined by business information:

  • Legal name

  • Mail address

  • A logo (not mandatory)

  • Main currency you're handling

  • VAT code

  • Weblink: a link to your web suite

  • Type of business you're managing: you are a Producer, Distributor, Studio, Festival, TV Channel, Independent, Collection Society, Union, OTT Platform, FAST Channel, IPTV Channel, etc...

    • this information is helping other companies to classify your activity

  • A comment zone to introduce your company

According to your type of business, you will be in a position to report Content consumption to your Sellers or Buyers. iKast proposes different mechanisms to that end by using technical Connectors to fetch data. These Connectors connect your back-end systems, directly or indirectly with iKast and guarantee data origin and values.

Different levels of integration are available, using different Connectors:

  1. A direct access to the video player, best integration level. Called Direct (Player);

  2. A connection to 3rd party data monitoring systems like Nice People At Work's Youbora service. that use their API to extract data and populate iKast's data vault. Called Indirect (NPAW) for example (more integrations to come);

  3. Direct API calls from external to a dedicated iKast.io endpoint, called Direct (API);

  4. CSV based flat files are to be ingested directly in iKast's data vault, called Raw (File).

These different workflows have a different level of trust regarding data safety and validity. Your level of reporting integration has been tested and validated at the creation of your account by your account manager and will apply some extra parameters (API keys) to work properly.

Profile

An Organization can have an unlimited number of User accounts (seats). Each User is unique by its email address.

A User is identified by:

  • First and last name

  • A photo (not mandatory)

  • Email

  • A role, from Buyer, to Seller, Representative, Delegate, Finance

    • this role gives access to a different part of iKast application

  • Password

All detail and password can be changed via dedicated buttons.

You can also activate an optional emailing follow-up: each internal message you receive will also generate an email to your mailbox.
