To view this interface, click on the Video tab, then Add a video.

Add media interface

There are several ways to upload media to storage:

  • Local: from your computer.

  • Link: by providing an accessible URL (http/https) for the system to download the file.

  • FTP: using the FTP repository coordinates provided during the creation request

It's up to you to choose according to your use, but we recommend the use of FTP during the initial media deposit.

Media naming rules

Only the following characters are allowed in the name of a media:

[A-Za-z0-9._-]

A-Z

a-z

0 - 9

special characters: . _ -

The other fields shown are media-specific metadata fields.

Add FTP Media

On this example,

We are going to look for a file present in the FTP folder, (the files presented in the list are the files which have not yet been added, those added are hidden by default, to avoid duplicates).

  1. We are going to associate this media with a Tag corresponding to its type, its broadcast, etc.
  2. We click on the “import default values for this tag” button to load the metadata associated with the tag.

  3. Manually, we override the information requiring a specific character such as a date or an ID.

  4. We can edit all the metadata fields necessary for your activity.

  5. Finally, we can click on the “Send file” button.

In the case of an import of multiple media, after depositing all the media on the FTP, we provide a CSV template allowing the batch import of the metadata of all your media.

⚠️ If you create folders, sub-folders in FTP storage, only these characters are allowed in folder naming:

[A-Za-z0-9._-]

A-Z

a-z

0 - 9

special characters: . _ -

If a folder had any other character, that folder would not be recognized by our system. And the media inside cannot be imported.
