Licensing Contract defines relationships between Sellers and Buyers, from commercial rules to operations ones, regarding a list of Contents.

In addition to the core Business Model used in the transaction, some extra Restrictions are set:

  • Country restrictions, or the list of countries (include or exclude) where the contents are allowed to be watched.

  • Validity: a time period during which the Buyer is allowed to use the contents. More generally this is the Contract duration.

iKast is capable to monitor in real-time each viewing session of the Seller's content on the Buyer's distribution channel.

Then it can detect if Content is watched in an unauthorized country or if any watched Content happened after the end of a Contract. Any of these incidents is breaching the Licensing conditions is called an Infringement.

If that situation happens, both Seller and Buyer will receive a notification in their Message Box:

The Contract is tagged as 'Infringed', represented by a red dot in the list of Contracts:

By editing the Contract, you can access the reason for the Infringement (country our date), how many watching sessions are not legit and then how much money is to be mitigated:

Note: As long as a Buyer has an infringed Contract, he can not do any more deals with the same Seller.
