Live : Mono-bloc

Direct single (Mono block)

This is the simplest method. Via the programming interface, you add a Live program. In the same way as you add a program from a VoD file. Within the grid, a single-block live program will be considered as delimited (IN Start / Stop OUT) by a single block. Its broadcast interval will be defined by the start and end times on the day's playlist.

Preparatory work

1. Create the Live program.

As for adding a file, but this time we'll check "Live" to create the program "Live - Mono Block".

2. Create a Live folder.

Containing the "Live - Mono Bloc" program.

3. Define a start time and duration.

Drag and drop the program into your playlist. The Okast Channels algorithm will then manage the broadcasting of the Live stream.

This work needs to be prepared in advance, and can be carried out only once.

Work during live broadcast

4. Start sending the live stream

Start sending the RTMP/SRT stream to the ingest point provided by the Okast Channels instance.

5. Start recording the live stream

This buffers the time interval between pressing the record button & the stop button.

6. The Live block is playing/playout.

The content of the buffer is read/unrolled by the playlist engine, and displayed in the playout.

7. Stop live recording

Press the square, stop button to stop recording the stream.

The live block will continue to play the buffer content and then end.
